Omakase is a Japanese phrase that translates to “I’ll leave it up to you.” At Kakizaki, we invite you to place your trust in our chef’s hands for a curated, intimate dining experience.

Guided by our head chef, Yuji Matsuzaki, your Omakase journey is designed to awaken the senses. The experience begins with light, fresh otsukuri (sashimi) and a seasonal tasting plate showcasing a variety of traditional Japanese techniques. The meal culminates in twelve exquisite sushi courses, featuring the day’s finest, market-fresh catch, before concluding with a delightful house-made dessert.

While Melbourne offers many lavish dining experiences, we have chosen a different path. We believe that world-class sushi should be honest, accessible, and focused.
